- Spotlight on Arts Grantmaking in California
This report published November 2009 by the Foundation Center illuminates the current needs, practices, and issues around the funding of arts organizations in California. Findings show the contrast between types of support that grantmakers award compared to what arts groups say they need most. Report includes an analysis of arts grantmaking in 2007, including a list of the 10 largest California arts funders by total giving.
- The Public Charity's Guide to the California Initiative Process
This guide by the NCG Public Policy Committee outlines the manner in which public charities can play a significant role in state ballot initiatives, including details on the state and federal regulations that affect them. It is the companion publication to the “Private Foundation’s Guide.” The Guide is intended to help public charities and their legal counsel to more confidently navigate the decisions they will face when working in the ballot measure arena.
