Collaborative Philanthropy
Northern California Grantmakers has a history of bringing together grantmakers to make collaborative philanthropic investment. Using pooled grant and loan funds as the vehicle for collaboration, grantmakers not only leverage their funds, they also learn, innovate and model best practice.
Currently, more than 35 NCG members and stakeholders in the public and nonprofit sector participate in NCG Collaborative Philanthropy, pooling, prioritizing and distributing dollars through the Arts Loan Fund and the Emergency Loan Fund.
Past NCG Collaborations
Over the years NCG members have come together in collaboration around a variety of philanthropic efforts. NCG staff remains responsive to the needs of members and invites peers to explore past efforts for models of collaboration.
