Advanced Grantmaking Intensives

Northern California Grantmakers is pleased to partner with The Grantmaking School to provide, in alternating years, two intensive professional development offerings. Advanced Proposal Analysis and Advanced Grant Portfolio Management are specifically geared toward foundation grantmaking professionals and the craft of grantmaking.

The Grantmaking School, part of the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership at the Grand Valley State University in Michigan, is the first university-based program for teaching the techniques and ethics of grantmaking. Every member of its faculty is a current or former foundation program officer or CEO, ensuring a practical orientation in the curriculum.
