NCG members represent funders of all shapes and sizes, leading and challenging the philanthropic sector to be more effective, reflective, and responsive. NCG offers a broad range of educational programming from basic skill development for the new grantmaker, to advanced refresher trainings for seasoned grantmakers, to issue-based best practice forums for all levels of staff. See What We Do for more information.
NCG members are invited to participate in our programs free of cost or at reduced rates. Members can also access podcasts and other program materials from events you may have missed by going to Event Archive.

NCG provides members the opportunity to get to know their colleagues in other grantmaking organizations, to share information about programs and priorities, and to build cooperative relationships. NCG also options for leadership development of grantmakers: either through developing content for programs, serving in leadership roles through committee participation, or connections with other peers to uncover other opportunities.
Through collaborative funding programs and task forces on specific community needs, NCG members can address problems which are too large and complex for any one funder to tackle individually. Online Resources: User your member login to gain access to member-only content, including podcasts of NCG programs, and a Knowledgebase created in collaboration with participating regional associations of grantmakers.
Salary Survey: Northern California data, compiled annually from Council on Foundations survey, on compensation at all professional levels in the philanthropic field.
